..I think everyone's problems are important Joey because they're important to them, it's just that some people are given slightly bigger ones and not all can be solved..or at least not the way you would like them to...

There were literally a hundred sheep on the track, and by a river. I was doing my duty by letting them know so they could let the farmer know so as to reduce disruption.

A simple 'shoo' and a waving of your hands should have done the trick

Yes I had to ring them when I was 15 because one of my brothers and his friend were attacked, my brother had been stabbed and one of his lungs was punctured but he was trying his best to hide it from me and just trying to help his friend who had been hit on the head with some sort of shovel, I only noticed the state my brother was in when he turned round and his shirt was drenched with blood thats when I ran to phone 999, thankfully they were really fast to respond though, the police, cid, and ambulances were there within what felt like seconds.

Wow... we have had some experiences on this topic, when you look back it seems like it happened on a film or something. The adrenaline at the time is all that keeps you from falling apart.

No, but we'd had coppers turning up on the doorstep when my brother's messed about on the phone and dialled it by accident.

The policeman then acts suspiciously with my mum, asked her 5 times if "she was sure she was ok" bless. I think he thought she was being held hostage or something.

Once when my mother started Completely hyperventilating, turning red and losing energy. They were pretty useless and told me to do stuff I had already done and then told me they will send someone. They rang back a good 20mins later when she settled down and went to sleep asking if I still needed an Ambulance...my answer was two not very nice words tbh.

This thread has shown there are some incredible experiences from members.

Vicky and Josy, I admire your quick thinking and determination in those situations.
Very dangerous situations too so all credit to you both.

Salman, a great thing to do, wasting no time when the lady collapsed,I felt likely the same when my Grandmother collapsed while out with me that it was really serious.

Ben,I loved your Sheep experience, I think dialling 999 would have got far quicker action to deal with the problem and avert possibly a real disaster too happening.

It is amazing just how much we learn from other members on a thread like this.

Yeah, quite a few times (unfortunately)

I also called the national accident helpline when I was about 8 but we're not gonna get into that
