Saying categorically that the series is ruined with little to no actual evidence is just ridiculous. It makes you determined not to enjoy it.

And judging by BB13, vote to save makes very little difference especially when two housemates go head to head.

Vote to evict worked in the earlier days of Big Brother. But it just doesn't work now. People vote out the louder ones and those people are usually the ones that make the show.

If we had vote to evict for the last CBB Spedi would have been out straight away. Vote to save works far better as people vote for the same housemates. No one votes to 'evict' or 'save' a housemate, they vote for the loudest and most known housemates. It's always been like that. However they market roughly the same votes will go to the same people regardless.

more than anything else, i find it confusing flicking between vote to save and vote to evict all the time. maybe it was a purely moneymaking decision, though, i can see BB viewers spending more money trying to get rid of people than to keep them in.

Short term, they will definitely get more votes in these early weeks when the big characters are annoying people. But once they are gone, and the well runs dry, we'll be left with a house of non-offensive characters, and people won't feel strongly enough to vote to evict them.

With vote to save, the fans of each housemate were, in essence, voting to keep them in to continue voting for them. It is a rolling accumulation in a way, the people with the biggest fan bases stay in, and so this large group of voters will get to continue to vote. It should really make more sense that Vote To Save would make more money vote wise. Perhaps they weren't getting many votes in the past few series, and suspected a shake-up might get more people voting, but again, that's not looking at the long term :/

The BB11 final should show the producers why they chose VTS in the first place, going back to evict is stupid.. people saying 'oh but new characters will develop'... yes they will and be shipped out for it.

BB3/5/6/7 worked with vote to evict because viewers had common sense and the majority were big characters anyway, they don't now.
