Personally I think homosexuality is part of a larger group of natural responses to human over-population. Plagues (ranging from the Black Death to Swine Flu), cancers, organ failures, AIDS, homosexuality, infertility, obesity and related problems... the world is too full, resources are running out and it's my belief that the world is a self sustaining eco system and there are too many people on it. I have no science or religion to back me up, to me, it just makes sense. It's like when there are lots of rabbits; there will be more predators breeding to take advantage of that - and when there are fewer rabbits, there are fewer predators. Humans don't have any natural predators, so nature itself has to take care of our overpopulation. Natural disasters often wipe out lots of people. Perhaps this is crazy but to me it makes perfect sense.

So in the end, I don't think it's important whether homosexuality is genetic or a societal construct. Homosexual people are who they are and no amount of persecution is going to make it go away. Gay people don't give birth to gay people. Heterosexual people give birth to homosexual people. It's a seemingly random spread of who is and who isn't, in the same way that you can't predict who's going to have cancer or fertility problems or whatever else life can throw at a person.

If that is the case then should we legalize pedophilia, bestiality, incest? Saying people are the way they are and it should be allowed? Is it normal to put ones penis on another man's anus where the other one acts as the female? How is it that normal?
