If I say to someone, "ohh I spent too much time in the sun, I look so dark, I look black!"

Are you saying you can't understand why a black person would be offended by that?

If you are saying that you look repulsive just because you look fat, and there is a person who is actually fat standing right next to you, do you not see how that is offensive?

You are basically saying, ewww, i might be as gross as her, i feel like i'm as ugly as her. I feel so fat.

Of course that would be offensive.

It's not rocket science to understand.
