That';s like saying if coke had a channel and they advertised coke, it's not really advertising because they are only advertising coke on the coke channel.

No, that was just one example. They're also referencing the sponsors name and finding some way to fit items in the show around it. I have no issues with it, I'm just saying that from a British perspective it would be seen as excessive. Actually tbh in recent years the UK showing is following the same kinda thing, Samsung Mobile sponsored a series a few years ago and all the acts were given their products which they were seen using during VTs.
Am I right in thinking it's actually illegal in the US to charge for televotes?
