Remembering Kerry
|
I was 4, I was told then because I was terrified of even the thought of Santa Claus. I wouldn't go near him in Stores with my Mum and Grandmother, I wouldn't talk to him and was really scared of the thought of him bringing presents.
I once said could they just lock all the doors and make it that he couldn't get in,only to be told by a neighbour that you cannot keep him out, if all entries are locked,he has loads of little elves that can get through the keyholes and open the door for him. I was literally petrified at that thought. I even said I didn't want any presents when I was 4 so would they tell him not to come. So my Mum told me the truth and I was really happy, it was a case of not being able to sleep on christmas eve for the wrong reasons, once I knew the truth,I slept very happily. I laugh at it all now but as a young child, I was very unhappy to say the least at the thought of Santa Claus. |
