He did intend for Linda to hear it as he specifically told Luisa to ask Linda about it. He said "Ask her about Frank Carson's dressing room"

He then denied saying it.

I'm not saying he doesn't have his good moments his "Enjoy your stir fry, I hope it gives you the ****s" line was funny, he should have left it at that tbh.

Not gonna lie but I could barely make head or tail of it. However what I do know is when Liz brought up 'suicide' Jasmine got defensive and upset about her father and so we cant show bias with Linda becoming defensive and upset about Jim bringing up her dead husband.

Honestly? I would have had some respect for him if he had regretted what he said on the night and not showed himself to be a lying coward when Linda came into the garden to ask him about it. He outright denied it, then he bumbled about grasping at straws, then when she went indoors he tried to make himself out to be the injured party with Dappy and Lee.

He did the same thing when he said "don't you miss having a MAN". He went into the garden and lied again, telling the others a different version to gain their support, running her down to them and shouting out to her she was loony.

It was the same story with Luisa - he tells her "ask her about Frank Carson's dressing room" then when Luisa does he lies again and says he said "ask her IS IT ABOUT Frank Carson's dressing room. Does he not know it is all recorded?

To cap it all off, he then gets at Luisa for telling Linda, WTF! trying to shift the blame in his mind from it all to HER.

The man is a manipulative lying coward and in my view he can stick his too late apology up his chauvinistic ass.

But he didn't say it to her, he said it to Luisa. If he'd intended to hurt Linda and cause her distress, he'd have said it to her face, he's shown on plenty of occasions that he has no problem with telling people what he thinks of them. I think his mask slipped and that came tumbling out in a moment of anger when he really didn't mean for Linda to hear it all and that's why he's sorry, because he knew that it had upset her.

Sorry to break up your celebration party but Jim has slipped up once and he had good reason to do what he did. He did it the wrong way but he has capped days of torment and now its out in the open, there is some clarity to why she is so bitter, but he is still the peoples champion. If he'd said it himself that would have made him the antagonist, so he had luisa do it then sat in the garden to await linda who was understandably distressed.

I didn't think there was anything wrong with Jim asking Luisa about her being single. What's wrong with that? He could have asked the same question of any of the other single men or women in the house. It's a good question because it's a conversational opening. The fact that Linda leapt onto it and made an enormous drama out of it is entirely about her. I cannot stand her behaviour. She has been spoiling for an argument ever since they entered the house, and Jim has been wondering why. If he feels that it's something to do with the dressing room thefts, then it's not surprising that he brought it up, given the way she had been haranguing him earlier about coming clean about his feelings. She got what she asked for. I suspect that her tears were just another form of trying to get everyone on board with her. Plus she lied when she accused Jim of saying something derogatory when he left the room at one point. She's acting like a sour, twisted old bat, in my opinion.
