Yep and it's not like it could just never be mentioned seeing as most of the liquors were still sitting on the tray so the others would have seen them

How was it to make anyone look bad, if anything it was backing Ollie up by saying there was alcohol in the house and they never even drank it.

Lets say drinking alcohol was the wrong thing to do

everybody drunk wine, and everybody but one drunk brandy

that one person went on to only mention the brandy

everybody else would then have to openly lie to make themselves look as good as Jim (who attempted to play the loyal hero) or tell the truth to make everyone look equally bad

Jim put them in this position in the hope for brownie points and I'm glad somebody called him out on it.

You're conveniently missing out the part where Ollie said they didn't have any alcohol at all before Jim even opened his mouth. Ollie lied and that put the onus on the others to go along with his lie but Jim didn't. Why does Jim saying something make everyone else look bad but Ollie telling a lie is therefore okay? It was such a non-issue anyway until Linda turned it into one, and she only turned it into an issue because Dappy said "thanks Jim"! Jesus...

Exactly - Linda happily told them she'd drunk it, and even described what it tasted like.

Ollie said they didn't have any alcohol at all before Jim even opened his mouth.

I think they'd decided not to let the others know they'd been drinking, in case it made them feel worse, hence Ollie's fib. Linda then made him look bad because she told them they'd all been drinking wine. By the end of her rant she'd changed it to Jim drinking all the wine.

I cannot believe that anyone could possibly think Jim was responsible for this!

Exactly right.

Jim was only saying it to make the huskies feel supported by the rest of the house by letting them know they didn't drink the brandy.

Jim was actually being kind to Linda by pretending she didn't drink it too ! (even though she did drink it!!)

Insane that people can blame Jim for this one.
