I used to really like him but now am indifferent to him, I am really not bothered whether he is on TV again or not.

I don't like his attitude and the way he pre-judges acts on his shows, usually wrongly too.
He is just too full of himself, it is time and would be nice to see too, him brought down a bit.

Oh God that was just ****ing sick to watch on a weekly basis, couldn't tell if he was trying to get in about her, if she was shagging him backstage to really earn her wage or if he's her gay best friend; either way it was still gross and uncomfortable to watch

If you want "real music" then look for it beyond TV talent shows and the Top 40. That's always been the case even before Cowell.

But that's ALWAYS been the case. Only mainstream/broad appeal stuff gets wide attention and TV slots/charts because it's just that, mainstream.

Most stuff of substance doesn't get into mainstream because they don't appeal to the masses.
