I really miss the 'golden age' of Big Brother, from Big Brother 5 - Big Brother 8. I really didn't appreciate them when they were being aired on TV, I'd honestly give anything to go back and live in 2004-2007 at the age I am now where I could fully appreciate these series. All four series were really Big Brother at its best, and I don't think Big Brother will ever ever ever get back to this standard ever again!

Comparing BB15 to any of the four golden age Big Brother series makes me weep, how did Big Brother change? Does anyone else miss it so much? I keep thinking I'm the only one hung up on the past series...

BB5 to BB 7 was the goldenage. BB 3 was the prologue, and BB9 was a brief revival. It's been downhill from BB7 though

Ew, obviously I disagree with most but I agree with you on the halfway house housemates, ew, such a horridly executed twist. It backfired so much unless they wanted to get rid of their halfway housemates so quickly, Shanessa being evicted like 2 days after she became a housemate. The swapping housemates thing didn't work either, besides Ziggy, the housemates who were swapped had already been in the halfway house like Shanessa.

I think the whole forum went through a stage of comparing these to the channel 4 era or the later BBs to the superior earlier ones a couple of years ago. It's probably because this is your first channel 5 series that you're feeling like that.
