Other than her 'homesick' tears,she was rather cold throughout that conversation with him really, in my view I add.
I also see her as quite cold.

She never adds to the conversation, she just laps up all the compliments he gives, when he said i'm never letting you go as a friend, i was thinking "nooooooooooooooooooooooo......just let her go!"

I do think their strange relationship has been his downfall, he could have won if he'd just stayed away.

Again I agree, these 2 have been close on the surface and ashleigh did to be fair turn opinion around as to her but the public then saw Chris still as 'creepy' as to her.

That is still likely the case as to the public with him
While Ashleigh is exalted on high, Chris has paid a price for his 'friendship' with her.
As you say and I add to that,had he been the Chris of his power week time,he maybe could have gone on to win this.

Maybe he should get really drunk again,perhaps he speaks more freely and truthful with alcohol.
