Same could have been said for Helen ,she needed to put food on the table for her boy,but she was judged on her past a lot.

so true. Helen was a prostitute, not a crime. apart from living on benefits, dee is a convicted criminal. she was convicted of stealing £13,000 from her employers. some of this money belonged to vulnerable people who had placed their money in the care of the local authority. dee was given an 8 month prison sentence. this was suspended for 18 months, and she was ordered to do 220 hours unpaid work (wonder if she ever completed this)

Do you honestly think that Helen was paying taxes on her "immoral earnings"? Dee has paid her debt to society and deserves another chance. For those who didn't watch Benefits Street she was extremely kind and caring looking after others who were more vulnerable than herself - exactly as she has been in the house. I hope she wins.
