Alone in a sea of hostility from a clique of bullying arse'oles the guy would apologize for the kidnapping of Shergar if one of them insisted that he was guilty of abducting the horse - it's a form of Passive Resistance. There are no real examples of Gary being rude, just examples of bullying pricks saying he's rude and a great gullibility - or willing prejudice - in those willing to accept the lies. The most blatant example is your last example; that Gary insulted James in the shower with some homophobic comment. Anyone concluding that, who actually observed what really occurred, would have scored the Battle of The Little Big Horn a victory for Custer. What really transpired is that Leslie had donned rubber gloves and was about to 'nosey' through the packing case used in the fake 'Duchess of Solihull' prank involving Dee. James saw Leslie don the gloves then bent over, thrust his arse towards Leslie, then pretended to part his own butt cheeks in mock readiness for some homosexual foreplay. Gary just happened to walk past, saw the scenario before him, recognised it was humorous and - probably trying to fit in and be accepted after all the vitriolic rejection and bullying he had thus far encountered - made a jocular, light-hearted comment; "aah... Getting ready for a butt****?!" - which was exactly what (closeted) James was pretending to do. There was no insult. There was no homophobic intent on Gary's part, and no sane, rational, fair-minded person could construe as much from the facts. If there was any homophobia in this incident , it was from James, given what he did, and given the fact that Leslie is a self confessed Gay. The only reason there is notoriety attached to what should have been no more than horse-play is that the game-playing bullying **** which is James, seized on Gary's perfectly innocuous contribution, to make capital out of it and try to bend the facts to justify further bullying of him.

All opinions on what we actually see and hear will always vary to a degree but there is a huge gulf between the facts here and what is claimed. If someone walked into a very dimly lit garage and they see a piece of coiled rope on the floor ahead of them, then they run out screaming "snake" - this is a misunderstanding. If that person walked into a very brightly lit garage, saw the coil of rope, recognised it as such, then they still run out screaming "snake", then they are lying attention seekers. Yet, worse than that person are those who witness the incident, also recognise the coil of rope, but then not only readily go along with the lying attention seeker's version of events, but actually perversely delight in propagating the lies.
