I also think it was completely disrespectful, but if you look into what they were singing and why then you may understand a little bit more about why they don't respect the British Army, which btw is solely their choice.
Yes,I agree with this. Talking about respect, where I was this morning at a remembrance service for the silence, was a park and the chatting just continued between a good number of people during the 2 minutes silence.

I agree, you cannot tarnish a Country or even all the fans of a club,or even tha club for what only some of their fans do.

I don't feel that FM's are 'Jumping On The Bandwagon' Cherie. If they have similar opinions in reaction to a specific event, then obviously, they are going to post similar views.

For myself, I believe that anyone who refuses to observe a mere one minute's silence in respect for all the fallen on Remembrance Sunday, are vile, ignorant pricks - which is exactly what I posted.

My comments are aimed specifically at those who refused to comply - not at the Club, nor all the fans, nor Scotland, nor anyone else - just those who refused.

It would not matter an iota to me if the offending people were English fans at an Irish match, or Irish fans at a Welsh match.

Some football fans are very tribal and they behave awful at times, but I do think it's just a vocal minority.

I was at the Cenotaph this morning, you could have heard a pin drop.

I'm disgusted by the fans who disrupted the silence. Whatever their views of the British Army, around 35,000 Irish soldiers died in WW1, and around 9,000 died in WW2, around half of them from the south. Shame on those fans.

I think there is some obvious jumping on the bandwagon type comments in the thread Kirk tbf.

CELTIC manager Ronny Deila has expressed his disappointment after some fans disrupted a Remembrance Sunday silence ahead of their 2-1 victory over Aberdeen.

The minute of reflection, which remembers British servicemen and women who have died in conflicts since the First World War began 100 years ago, was quickly interrupted by some fans shouting and singing from the visiting section at Aberdeen’s Pittodrie Stadium.

Some Celtic supporters tried to shout the protesters down and noise was evident throughout the 60 seconds, just before the Scottish Premiership game kicked off.

Norwegian manager Deila said: “That was disappointing.

“But again 99 per cent was good. Sometimes some people are not respectful.

“It’s very, very important for Celtic to be respectful.”

Celtic FC Foundation, the club’s charity organisation, this week donated £10,000 to Poppyscotland and carried a story on their website detailing the Celtic players who died during the First World War.

The issue has proved controversial in the past, with a group of Celtic fans staging a banner protest against the “blood-stained poppy on our hoops” when the club strip carried the symbol for a game four years ago.
