It's not the open carry guys that go around killing people though.They have licences and their guns are registered in their name,Anyone gets shot with that weapon and the police know where to look.
It's guys with concealed unlicenced firearms that kill people.
Obviously this does'nt excuse the police using excessive force on unarmed citizens but the police deal with these open carry loonies all the time and know they are'nt a threat.

Agree with this. The police do indeed use excessive force against unarmed citizens.

I'm merely pointing out that there are a lot of unarmed people getting shot. The poster actually described this armed person as 'annoying'; an armed person is never just annoying in my view and if unarmed people make the police so scared that they kill so many of them then why are the armed people considered less of a threat.

At least you are consistent Arista.

In this instance where the man is causing trouble and is armed near a school if ever there was an incident that warranted the overwhelming force the police like to use against unarmed people then this was it. I think the officers handled this well but if they had forced him to the ground and held him there in a choke hold IMO it would have been justified.

2nd amendment or not gun owners should not be carrying loaded guns around schools.

If the police have no evidence of a gun then they should not shoot to kill no.
