Some of the blockheads there this evening can only deal with examples concerning smaller numbers which they can get their head around. Either way, HIV isn't the heart of the example. It could've been anything cancer or any other illness. The point is the percentages that are not British nationals. I love that we're a humane nation who would help our fellow human beings but IT'S NOT WORKING. ![]() Last edited by Marsh.; 02-04-2015 at 09:50 PM. |

All hail the Moyesiah

Farage is a good speaker and convincing in what he says. Overall though, his party is a joke. Their policies are mainly as if they've been jotted down on the back of a fag packet, they've changed them so many times in the last few months that most of Ukip's leading figures never seem to know what they stand for and continuously contradict each other. They will live and die with Farage who conjures up each policy on a whim, he'll moderate them when he wants to engage with the mainstream and then make them more extreme when he wants to reassure Ukip's original base. Every time any one of their party appears on a major channel or gets interviewed they end up looking stupid. They're fortunate with the defections to some extent in that Carswell gives them another intelligent and articulate voice. Reckless is not so good but still a mile ahead of most other leading Kippers.
Rambling a bit now after a few co-ale-itions but there we are |

My rankings are:
1. Miliband 2. Clegg 3. Farage 4. Cameron And I actually like Cameron and don't really like Miliband but Dave was very uninspiring tonight, just looked like he was desperate to get through it |

That was the problem with all of them tonight, they got such little time and were so unable to get into any flowing debate that all they could do was get in a few sound bites before they moved onto the next leader. 7 people trying to all debate each other simply doesn't work.

I thought they all spent too much time attacking Cameron, giving him lots of air time to make his points. Ed always seems to want to attack Cameron, and given we have all first hand experience of him for the last 5 years, what exactly does that achieve? Ed needs to come across as the future PM, at the moment he is as much a puppy as Nick is.
