Yes - LT is the undisputed Master when it comes to sheer obstinacy and tenacity. He WILL NEVER QUIT if he believes in something. I just wish he was a Christian (LOL ) My job defending my faith would be a lot easier with him on board instead of in opposition. Thank God we agree on most other things.

I have said in many posts that deviants gravitate towards careers which allow them to covertly practice whichever perverse trait they have; Lesbians become Prison Officers in Women's Prisons, Paedophiles secure employment in Children's Homes, and corrupt bastards become politicians. Even certain people with psychopathic tendencies become 'Jihadists' because it enables them to indulge sick violent urges with the least chance of recrimination.

It is no different with 'Cops'.

A lot of disturbed people who are carrying secret blind rage and hatred inside them because they are racist or were bullied at school etc. become Police Officers, because that role empowers them, and in a lot of situations they are afforded opportunities to vent their rage or prejudice at others - again with little fear of recrimination.

While it's important to remember that these bastards are in a tiny minority in the context of numbers, where innocent citizens are concerned - one murderous cop is one too many.

My opinion is that any Cop, Judge, or Politician - anyone who has jurisdiction over other people - should at ALL times be paragons of virtue; scrupulously impartial and meticulously honourable, and so whenever anyone in such positions of power is found to be corrupt, then their crimes are compounded 1,000 times and their punishment should be draconian and merciless.

We have to be able to completely TRUST those who are in power over us and institutional or state cover ups when those in power betray that trust, do nothing but increase the outrage we all have at such times, as well as magnify the hopelessness we are left with that corruption is endemic and democracy and justice are bollox.

Lord Acton said: "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" and it is beyond argument that when a cop MURDERS an unarmed citizen then he should receive the death penalty - not only as a fitting punishment and a clear deterrent to others, but also as a LOUD, EMPHATIC STATEMENT of ASSURANCE to an increasingly cynical public that MURDERERS IN UNIFORM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
