tbh I don't think she meant it in a bad way I mean I think she just wants to be worshipped and get treated really well. Like everyone deserves

There's this girl I know who says a boy has to pay for every meal, or else it's not a date. And this person calls herself a feminist too.. :
I guess whoever asked the other person out for the meal

I agree with Dollface, if a guy asked me out on a date and then expected me to pay half I would not see him again. My boyfriend did all the chasing with me, I pretty much let him do everything and arrange any dates. I'm old fashioned in the sense that I think guys should be making effort BUT that being said if we are together for years and years and in a good place I think I would consider proposing.

That being said I am 16 and my boyfriend is 19 so I guess he had to do the running around so to speak

I thought this was something all girls felt, until i was talking to my friend and she said that she pays for everything when she goes out with her boyfriend. so maybe it's just my family's way lmao.
So i do share some of Sarah's views, like i can get where she's coming from.

I hate that attitude tbh (no offence to you) but I've always been hugely independent and would always pay my way and I make sure my daughter is growing up with that attitude as well

Each to their own. I have enough money to pay for myself but out of respect I think the guy should pay. I wouldn't ask a guy out, so he'd had to of asked me out in order for us to be on a date.. why should i pay half if he was the one that asked for my time/attention? lmao
Imo if a guy doesn't offer to pay, he isn't a gentleman and he isn't worth my time.

Sarah seems like a gold-digger type to me.

On the other subject, I think whoever proposed the date should pay.. if one asks the other to go to dinner with them, they should pay. If it was mutually arranged, and the guy offers to pay, I would thank him and accept but I would insist that I pay next time.
