It won't be axed this year I think I think we'll definitely be tuning in for BB17 but after that I can't honestly say I'm too sure about Civillian BB's future on C5. If ratings continue to decline this series and next series then the show will be axed. I think if we get another high performing series like BB14 next year or ratings increase this year (I can't honestly see it happening it could but I'm not sure).

CBB will stick around for quite a few years to come even beyond 2018 probably it always does well in the ratings for C5 and it's their main flagship show they put much more thought, effort and time into it over Civillian BB.

Basically it was:

BB was better on C4 than C5 and they put more focus into that
CBB is better on C5 than C4 and they put more focus into that

I hope so. 8 Weeks 2 series's a year would be nice. If it grows then continue if it doesnt then 1 CBB to C4 structure and if that doesnt make it grow I would axe it.

I hope it hangs around, I don't think twists have anything to do with it, tbh they have to do stuff to keep people interested in a show that's been round this long, a return to old school bb would be the death knell

The twists aren't keeping anyone interested.

As many others have said, BB17 will happen. However, if they play the same tricks that they have for the past two years (Power Trip and Timebomb) then it won't return the following year. Unless they ease up on the twists, increase Live Feed and promote the hell out of it, I don't see it rating very well at all. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere (not on here) that there were plans for Live Feed on MTV this series after the CBB repeats rated well?

Yeah some of the C5 ones have been great but let's not get carried away. We've still had CBB8, 9, 11 and 13 all gross series.

The whole show caters for the terminally stupid these days. I can understand people defending it out of loyalty but there are people on here that genuinely think its great bless them.
Im so sick of what it has turned into since its move to C5 i feel like i lose IQ points every time i watch it.

With last years diabolic series and winner, I won't shed a tear if it got axed. It's is a former shell of itself.

I will probably never stop watching but seeing it get the axe would be a relief in a way. Like seeing an old friend put out of its misery.

Lack of promotion, and choosing samey hms didn't help. If you pick a Harriet you need a Caroline bb13

I don't know, so far the Friday twist has currently worked out as Friday, Saturday and last night were all up on the same weekend the week before.

That's crap, TBH.

Anything below an average of 1.4/1.5m, for BB is bad.

Viacom need to advertise more on other TV Channels other than their own. Never saw a single billboard in London or on any bus's early may start when everyone is used to June
BB producers shot themselves in the foot. Not all to blame though.

I agree.
The promo was absolutely naff this year.

No countdowns.

Not many adverts on TV. I remember for CBB15, I saw the Twisted Fairytale advert like 4 times a day from 22nd December - 5th January. I actually got annoyed from seeing the advert, it was on that much.

No billboards. This was a mistake, IMO. One because they used for them CBB15, and it worked really well, and two because it was a May launch for the first time in almost ten years, so they needed to make people aware of when it was starting, as many would've thought in June.

I also think them releasing everything at once this year didn't help either. Like the eye, theme, and advert all being released in one go. As well as the House Pictures.

They should do it bit by bit, to build up excitement.
Two weeks before the launch wasn't enough time.

TV viewership is down this year, that's why the share is high.

CBB is currently circling the bowl in terms of content. It's probably a matter of time before ratings follow suit. It's gotten so trashy that they can't get any celebrities anymore, and once it goes that way it can't be reversed.

I disagree.
I think the CBB15 cast was fantastic, and felt like a Channel 4 series, IMO. As did the CBB13 cast.

The early Channel 5 CBB's were trashy.
However, the summer CBB is really trashy.

I think they should scrap summer CBB. With 2 CBB's a year, it makes the format stale.

That's one of the reasons why I'm A Celebrity still gets good ratings, because it's on once a year, so the audience don't get bored of it quickly, and get excited for November, when the time comes.

With 2 CBB's a year, it is easy to get bored. Especially now CBB is 4 weeks.
