WTF does salt of the earth even mean? Only time I ever heard it was to describe Jay in bb12, so I assumed it meant something along the lines of 'dickhead' :S

I always thought 'salt of the earth' was an insult, meaning something along the lines of fun-wrecker or something, because I know when you put salt into the earth where a flower is, it won't ever grow.

But I googled and apparently it's a saying with biblical roots?

Salt of the earth is a northern thing I think, it means a good, decent person

I'm claiming Salt of the Earth as an Irish phrase until someone posts my research proving otherwise But yeah, good decent person does it for me. probably the best description of its meaning.
