I'm only saying age matters because the person on the page barely looks like he's escaped adolescence. It is safe to presume grey are not buddies based on their age. Adults being friends with younger adults isn't weird, I agree.
But yes, if he said it to a friend I would concede and agree that it did not have a nasty intent but until this is proven, I refuse to believe that this was "banter" in any shape or form.. And so should you.
