Yes, but that word was used by a white person. She wasn't a person of colour/not someone who has been oppressed by racist slurs for years. You can't be racist against yourself really. It's just a little stupid. Obviously skin colour doesn't matter at all in the scheme of things, but in racism, it does. He's allowed to use that word because it was used in the past in a derogative way against people with his colour skin. Not the other way around.
