Cause, it ensures BB will run through the summer and finish in early August. Giving a two week break inbetween so peeps dont get bored, and it will end in mid-september so by the time cbb in jan comes, it won't feel stale.

If they do axe Summer CBB do you think they will actually extend BB's duration?

TBF, 13 weeks on C4 got stale too.

I mean as much as I enjoyed BB7 post Nikki, it still dipped in quality around Weeks 11-13.
And BB8 sucked after Week 8/10.

BB5 had the best duration at 71 days, and ended at the right time. It felt perfect.

I mean in Sept 2013, we didn't know CBB will be amazing and BB will be awful after the good BB14.

Originally when C5 brought BB, they were only planning on buying just BB and not CBB, but they also brought CBB as the last series on C4 (CBB7) did well. It was planned to have one CBB in Jan and a 13 week BB in summer. But then they thought it would be a good idea (sack this person now) to cut the Civvy BB 3 weeks shorter and attach a summer CBB at the end of it, taking it to 13 weeks.

Yes.
Works perfectly for holiday season, daughter came home and went back in between the shows, hubby had 18 says off and was not totally neglected.
Great to gave a bit of life back for a few weeks in the summer

Nah, I still do a lot of marking. Like maths papers and things, which take up time. Not to mention planning lessons too. I'm not going to be on here as much once I start work again next week.

Honestly? I don't think there's been much of a difference. I got bored of waiting during the break and when it finally did start, I'd lost interest - the same way I'd be feeling if there'd been no break and it'd begun shortly after BB16.
