Some random amateur making a "you're fat and disgusting" video for YouTube is not 'tough love' for altruistic reasons and is no more effective, I reckon, than some random amateur doing a "you're a drunk and disgusting" video for YouTube and expecting people to sober up. You can't insult people into changing their lifestyle and even if it's effective with one or two people that's not worth all the people you insult.
