I'm not going to say he did the right thing because he is an adult and it would have been better for him to keep his cool, however, I also do understand why he snapped. I have occasional problems with a small gang of 11/12 year old kids occasionally that roam around the town where I work and simply put, although they are children, they are thugs. With us it's minor stuff like running into the shop (18+) and running around shouting abuse at people, but I have customers that you wouldn't mess with if you're 14 or 40 so they leave pretty quickly. I have however seen more serious things outside - throwing things at random people in the street, shoving other teens to the ground... The worse was probably when they were hounding an Indian guy with full on racist abuse, running up behind him and smacking him on the back, grabbing his arms and then screaming help like he had grabbed them... I have no idea how he DIDN'T snap.

how did he snap? he didn't beat the kid or assault him at all, he just restrained him til the cops could come.
