Something very telling in the video of him with Fox News... When asked if he accepts that the US needs allied Muslim countries to win against ISIS, his immediate gut reaction was "NO I do not accept that" before revising that to say that it "helps" but he will not admit that the US might not win without help. Because... He believes that they would of course win.

The speed ifnhis instinctual response says it all; he believes that the US can be an island and needs no one. American resources, in american factories, making American goods for american people. I think his dream world is basically self sufficiency and permanently closed borders. That's too extreme to get much support so he offers a toned down version but yeah... That dream is what gets him hard.
