Except for the small matter that Jim Davidson is a comedian and Winston McKenzie is not, and that Jim's comments were - for whatever reason - not brought up within the house.

So being a comedian makes it ok to be homophobic does it ?

Comedians tell jokes. Jokes are remarks intended to provoke laughter, often through shock, have no basis in reality, and are not intended to be taken seriously.

And I could've sworn you were a fan of Jim?

Jim Davidson had made personal remarks about gays. In fact, I seem to remember he had views on gay marriage that were similar to Winstons. He also had pretty much the most racist comedy act in the country. He was despised by all the left wing luvvie types.

He actually made money from homophobia and racism, something you can't accuse Winston of.

And yet Davidson got a free ride, won the show and was feted by Emma.

Is it cos e is white?

There are definitely undertones of racism from viewers on this show but that's a whole different debate that has been done to death on this forum so let's not go there.

I don't know a lot about Jim Davidson's career, so am unaware if he has made insulting remarks about gay people off-stage in his real life. Feel free to provide me with proof that doesn't involve jokes he's told on a comedy stage which don't count, and I'll be happy to concede defeat

I seem to remember he was thrown out of Hell's Kitchen for terrible gay bullying of Brian Dowling, a former BB presenter.

Yet he is allowed to come on and win the show and be fawned over by Emma.

Wonder how Jack explains that?

Davidson is a vile, evil bully, but played a blinder in his series, he hid all his bigotry and people fell for it,but some of us have longer memories than others
