Here is an explanation of the clues I gave you last night:

(The picture is Grace from BB, and the thing she is dropping is the lifeboat from earlier - the same picture as before but shrunken and rotated - and the lifeboat represents you lot... so 'one by one you fall from grace'... basically.)
The whole thing would have been this:

The Worthy One
The name 'Eloine' in Latin means 'Worthy'.
The premise would have been that Eloine was actually dead (which you would have found out later), and you were all responsible for it in different ways (hence leaving disgraced).
Also, she actually went missing (and died) 20 years ago, and the whole thing was basically a revenge game (set up by her daughter, who was a baby when Eloine died).
Spoiler:
Dimitri's letter was a hidden clue that she went missing years ago - the paper it was written on was old and weathered - it would have turned out that he'd actually written it for someone else a long time ago, not you. It's intentionally written as though he is talking to one person rather than a group of people...the year is also missing from the date in the top right...
It would have gotten really complicated...
Anyway basically, one of you would have survived/won in the end by taking on Eloine's identity (becoming the 'worthy one').

There would have been more clues throughout the next episode but the riddle refers to the trailer.
A PUZZLE FOR YOU BEFORE WE START - the trailer being before you started.
AFTER THE FLAMES AND BEFORE WE PART - after the flames in the trailer (which is about 2 mins in), and before the end of it.
IN THE DARKNESS THERE ARE NO WORDS - so when the trailer usually cuts to a dark screen, there would be words in it, for example...
But after the flames, there is a dark screen with no words.
THEN SIGHT BRINGS VISION AND NUMBERS CURSED.
The images that come after the dark screen represent 'sight', then 'the numbers'

...the time on it being 12:48 and it also appearing before you started etc.
This is a really good story! I expect to see The Mysterious Disappearance of Eloine in Waterstones by Christmas 2017.
