Also, Eugene was fantastic during that episode. I really like and care for him now.

Even my Dad who doesn't really watch the show said he couldn't watch during those final few moments as it was so uncomfortable

Finale was great until the last 20 seconds. The whole point of Negan's introduction was it was sudden and shocking and you feeling as emotional and scared as the characters....not to wait ages to see who was even killed and the reaction to it. It's a shame, because it was really good until then and really done Negan and the whole lead up justice.

Good deductions Ammi, I was thinking Eugene, Abraham or Glenn but I was thinking that Glenn or Abraham was more likely than Eugene but your logic is good there. If I had to choose one of those three I'd be hoping for Abraham. I doubt it's Aaron cos I don't think anyone would really care about him dying tbh.

As for the episode itself, I loved it, it was so tense and edge of your seat and emotional, loved loved loved it. The ending was a bit disappointing in that it'll probably be spoiled anyway before we get to watch it which is really annoying

I was underwhelmed with the ending but the episode was brilliantly paced.

It's my second favourite finale (after the Season 2 finale). And as much as I wish we saw who died, I'm gonna be so excited for the Season 7 premiere. I just hope I manage to stay away from leaks (but I don't know how they're gonna promote the season without giving it away ).

..I loved it as well and the more I think about it, the more I'm glad that I don't know because I think it would have left a very flat feeling and less enthusiasm for the next season if it is one of my favourites...whereas this way, even if it is a favourite, it's going to be such a great opening episode that the impact may feel much less...?...it is just the keeping it secret but hopefully they've figured that out as well, how they're going to do it...

..the more I think about it, the more I think it could be Glenn though..I was thinking that the smart thing for Negan would be not to choose someone who has such an emotional/or blood connection to another member of the group because that connection would give him control but because of Maggie looking so ill, maybe he thinks that she won't survive anyway so could choose Glenn....the other one is Michonne because he isn't aware of her relationship with Rick, is he...I know that it's been said that e has his own 'moral code' thing which says he doesn't harm females or children but with his words about Carl/cutting his other eye out and referring to him as 'kid', that seems to conflict with that anyway...but there again he would probably see Michonne as a very strong fighter and someone he wanted to keep alive....(see, if it had revealed who it was, we wouldn't have all of the speculation so it does add a bit....)..

I really hope hope it isn't Michonne, she's one of my favourite characters but maybe if they don't want Rick to be "attached" they may get rid of her but I don't think it will be because I think they would have given her a bit more airtime in the finale if they were planning to kill her off, she deserves that so in that respect I think it may be Abraham or Eugene because they got alot of the airtime in that episode plus they had that "goodbye" scene too

..it's funny, I didn't hear any of the screaming, maybe I was too focused on the intensity of it...I'll have to go back and listen, although that's not going to be easy/reliving it...what I loved also about the whole episode is the 'cat and mouse' thing from the beginning..we've seen this evolving of Rick's group to a point where Carol for instance is now questioning herself in terms of killing and have they become like the other groups they've encountered ..we've seen Rick go 'full Shane' etc...but they couldn't be further removed from becoming the 'bad guys' because as showed when they killed at Negan's camp, they found it very difficult to do and took no pleasure at all..whereas the Saviours in capturing them, have just toyed with them and take pleasure in killing, it's not all about survival to them/they love the fear they create....

I forgot to say my opinion about the finale

I think i'm one of the few that thought it was pretty lame. Maybe my expectations were too high, idk, but I was quite disappointed in it. I found most of the episode really boring (i mean, why did they spend so much time on morgan?) and the whole Negan reveal wasn't what I expected. I was expecting someone scary and intimidating but I ended up kind've liking him? His speech was too long though, it would have been better if he just whacked one of them with his bat straight away imo

You're certainly not one of a few (I wish you were ), the Internet is full of anger at the finale.

Although about liking Negan, as far as I know about the comics I think that was always the point with the character. He's supposed to be darkly charismatic etc.

They've set it up very quietly all season for him to die when you look at it. His argument with Abraham, his little goodbye to Sasha, him handing over the recipe for the bullets and they've given him a semi redemption really, he used to be a weak member of the group but he's turned it around and to give him the Negan death where he takes a beating bravely would be quite fitting!

I now think the screaming was actually more Rosita than Maggie too.

Was that too obvious though in that final episode? and would he really be that much of a loss to the group like we've been told? The more I think about it the more I think for it to be that devastating to the group it has to be either Glenn, Maggie, Daryl or Michonne (we pretty much know it isn't Rick or Carl)

I can't see it being Maggie, you can hear her screaming in the POV shots so I've ruled her out plus if they're going with trying to make Negan weirdly likeable they won't have him kill a woman.
