Tbh, it's no different than the opening of Asylum which was gratuitous gore and sex.
I don't get how people say it's changed, it's been trashy horror from the start. McDermott cry wanking after watching the maid play with herself anyone?  A woman having sex with a man in a gimp suit but having no idea that the dick she was riding wasn't her husband's?
