There have been many racist comedians/comedies though and nobody was arrested for that.I've heard black comedians call white people 'crackers' many many times and generalise them as a group,That is racism too.It was comedy,Tasteless comedy yes but i think banning speech veers dangerously into Saudi Arabian-esque dictatorship territory.Should John Cleese be arrested?Or Prince Harry?

This man is not a comedian. He doesn't have a body of work to refer to that would show what kind of comedian he is. This man is some random posting on YouTube.

I can laugh at myself and my heritage. I laugh at Cleese, I rolled my eyes at Harry... I take some shtick on the forum from people that's given in friendly jest and taken as such. This wasn't meant like that in my opinion and it is not okay.

And i agree that he was unfunny and can see how you would be offended. However i don't think he was actually inciting any harm to be done to anyone. It was in poor taste but i don't think we should be arresting people for their poor attempts at humour.

I think it's sad that a line has to be drawn, frankly.

Well, to prove the point, how many people on this forum were quick to jump to the defense of Jim Davidson or that other "funny racist" old man a couple of years ago on CBB? The one who said something about "jungle beats". Can't remember his name.

Anyway, plenty of people were very quick to excuse that, including some people who appear to have a problem with this?
