Marc was a hyperactive wind-up merchant (who admittedly sometimes didn't know when to end a joke, or that some things weren't really funny jokes to begin with) but I never felt he was malicious or a bad person in any way (and I really liked both his friendship with Eileen and his unwillingness to go along with the crowd when everyone scapegoated Simon).

Bear's just a horrid piece of work and a terrible housemate.
