I have a friend who is overweight and some the stories she has told me are horrendous. She tries quite hard to keep herself fit but gets a lot of abuse to the point where it makes her want to give up. She said she has taken her daughter and a friend to the cinema and stood in the queue and listened to a young guy in front talking about her loudly to the girl with him, saying what a mess she was and shouldn't be allowed out in public and her young daughter could hear too. Her little girl was horrified and very upset.

Another time she was staying at a hotel with her family on holiday and they had been eating in the hotel but she wasn't happy with the children's menu which was all burgers and chicken nuggets. Because she has a weight problem she is very conscious of her children eating healthily so she was asking at the reception about small portions for her children from the adult menu which was more healthy and was called a fat pig by a man at the reception behind her for looking at the menu before dinner.

She is a lovely person with a kind sweet face and a kind sweet personality, so what if she has a weight problem? It's hard enough for her to deal with, let alone putting up with other peoples ****.

That's horrendous why do people think it's okay to speak to others like this
