I aim to get drunk usually if I am drinking. However, I tend to know my limits...probably stop before most people would class me as 'drunk'..more extremely tipsy. have only been legless once and it was when I was working in greece...stupidly I forgot that the amount of alcohol they give in each drink is insane and drank as much as I would have done at home. I remember not very much except I accepted a ride back on a quad at 4am off a random guy :S

Occasionally will have a blue wkd or a few just because i like the taste of it though

I will be honest though and say the only reason I stop is because I am ****ing terrified of being sick. If I didn't have that phobia I expect I would get in some right messes

I've gotten drunk before but the fallout was so terrible (medical wise: burning flaring seering pain) that I never did it again... it was on St. Patty's Day and I spent all the day at a tavern with husband and friends.

I rarely drink though. I take general medications and my liver takes a hit on blood tests that I take Milk Thistle to offset and I'm a light health nut. I'm more of a social drinker if I do... I drink with friends and family who I trust. Never around people I barely know. Occasionally if I want to sit outside with a sandwich and paint with oils, I may have a strawberry daquiri or something, but that is the extent of it...

I'm short and petite so it's very easy for me to get drunk.

Only ever drink to get drunk. In the summer I do it regularly. Any other time of the year I rarely drink. I know my limits and know when to stop too as I hate being sick.

I never get drunk, I only drink alcohol to be sociable.

Only at New Year do I have more than usual but never allow myself to get drunk.

It is often really funny watching those who do however.

I hardly drink only on holidays but I prefer to get tipsy rather than being drunk.

Haven't been drunk, just a bit tipsy a few times.
I just haven't felt the need to or wanted to yet

I know for a factoid that it is not experienced the same byn one and all. Some people it makes them dizzy and dicombobulated and so they tend to avoid it where as others it gives them a tremendous feeling of exhilaration and bonhomie so they chase it. Some cannot stop when they start and others can have 2 and stop every time.

I have never been drunk myself, I've only been barely tipsy. I drink probably three times a month in summer and usually it's just one or two glasses each time. I made this thread because the other day I had a lemon beer with a meal and I really enjoyed it as a refreshing drink to compliment the food rather than just a novelty taste of alcohol if that makes sense. It made me think more about other people's drinking habits.

In my youth I drank far too much, 6 nights and one afternoon session at least..
Dancing on tables drunk, fighting drunk, just stupid drunk really
My husband has never seen me drunk, hence a long happy marriage, I am not allowed to drink due to health issues now, not even a drop, and I don't care to be honest

I like being heavily tipsy but it's often a case of drinking too much, being a mess and forgetting what had happened by the next day

not really, everyone knows when they're drunk and I'm asking the people who drink just to get to that level, why

If you are not drinking to get drunk/tipsy...why drink? Not many alcoholic drinks are actually nice. With the exception of malibu and wkd. Lager and such especially, ****ing gross and I can only drink them when I am already well on my way to tipsyness

yes but being drunk is very different for each person. For a young girl it could just be half a bottle of wine, giggly and having fun, tripping over. or it could mean, getting so bad you cant speak and have a blackout and not remember getting home or eating and getting into bed

There are huge degrees within that one term

incorrect

wine, whisky, brandy, sherry etc are all lovely drinks with huge ranges of taste and styles

you need to develop your palate

Oh I do like wine too.

Whiskey though, nope. Never had brandy and tried my grandmas sherry once as a kid and it (at the time) tasted like flavoured nailvarnish
