I have however been there and observed them after shows,with their fans and seen how much calmer they then become.

I watched for just one older big star,some footage of Ken Dodd over Christmas with his endless tatifillarious line and tickling stick nonsense.
I found it funny but do I think he did that all the time or even care if he did. no I don't.

They are actually incredibly mentally stable? They might not necessarily be 100% "usual" but they aren't volatile or unpredictable in any way... where are you seeing this supposed "instability"? I actually don't think there's anyone in that house who is less likely to snap.

Even if that was true, how does it make them unstable? Unstable suggests psychological / emotional volatility. They just aren't that. Austin was quite unstable, Nicola, Jamie a bit... Jedward just objectively are not .
