She could have read her book, or she could have just looked at her age and assumed she's had a hard life, but then if she had read her book and done some research on her before going in there with her, how does that correlate to Nicola and the rest of the house knowing? just because one person knows, doesn't mean the rest do, unless Jess did know about it and went around the house gossiping about it, in which case, she would be a twat and I don't think she is.
