Doping with over-the-counter antihisthemines, it's so scarily common, especially with the upper middle classes. People talk about it like it's a normal thing to do . My belief is that this is the one and ONLY reason that the Maddie story ever became a story. Her death was almost certainly accidental and tragic, and they would simply have called the authorities and it would have been ruled as such. It would have gotten a few column inches in The Sun simply because it happened abroad... and that would have been the end of it.

But if she had drugs in her system, that turns an accident into manslaughter, they couldn't let a postmortem be performed, and so they had to create an entire story that would explain her being physically missing.
