Being anti-immigration doesn't mean you are racist, but it does mean that you will be judged by those who are not anti-immigration. They're the ones who will decide. They'll interpret your words in whichever way suits them and turn it around to shine the light of goodness upon themselves while casting you down as a Nazi.

Also, if you don't want people from the Middle East coming to your country, people will point out that all Muslims are not terrorists and how we could be missing out on good people adding value to our country. And you know, the MINUTE we have a way of checking which ones coming in are terrorist and who are moderates, they will have a point. Because if I was in charge of Al Qaida, IS or any of the lunatic terrorist organisations, I'd be making sure every second person was one of mine.
