To be fair they do travel a lot and spend a lot of time on their feet, more than we'd expect of most over 90s. The ribbon cutting often involves meeting, talking to people, speeches. It's a lot for someone of that age. I'm not a monarchist but I can sympathise that they are expected to gad about and stand a lot for their respective ages.

Fantastic couple and as for ribbon cutting, making small talk is the most tiring thing ever, never mind the effort of getting out of bed at 91 and 96, Philip has 24 further engagements before he hangs up his hat, the upcoming Royals aren't a patch on these two.

Well, that's a whole other debate, isn't it. You know the fact that they are major employers, and the diplomacy... and overseas trade they bring in. And I haven't even mentioned tourism.
