There's a plug-in for Firefox (I don't know if that's what you use, but I assume there're varieties for other browsers) that removes the message that says "such and such is on your ignore list" and you can't see that at all. Obviously you can't remove them from the forum completely, their name would still come up as, say, if they created the thread (you wouldn't see the OP at all though), or were the last person to post, or Who's Online, etc.

The problem is I can't for the life of me remember what it's called because I've got so many old plug-ins

Took me 5 minutes to go through my tabs but it's an option on a plug-in called Greasemonkey - if you install that and then download the other plug-in that's a part of it, called "vBulletin - full ignore".

Can't help with where to find it, how to install etc. bc like I said it was so long ago
