She should have walked it though. She threw this away.

The arrogance of calling a vote when she was leading massively in the polls (after saying she wouldnt too...) when an election wasn't needed...at a time where even SHE says Brexit negotiations should have been concentrated on.

Nah youre just repeating parrot fashion some sensationalised headlines....She called it to have her own mandate to deal with the nightmare of brexit... Brown got in the back door, like may, he ducked a general election and it cost him. may showed bottle , shes now prime minster through the front door... I think the election will be good for democracy. But she needs to carry on now and do a job as the legitimately elected prime minister

She specifically called it to increase the conservative Westminster majority as a madate for hard Brexit. That was the entire plan and it backfired spectacularly - not only did she fail to achieve a large majority, she LOST the small majority that she already had . You can't rewrite history now and claim it was called "so that she would be the legitimately elected PM"... that's not why it was called.

Especially when there's a not-too-small chance she will now be REPLACED as PM.

^This and she did it with such arrogance. This is what happens when one starts believing in their own hype. Her ego had her believing that she really was ruling over a one party state. At one point I really did wonder if she was trying to lose this election but nah; she just let the power go to her head and it cost her dearly.

I'm glad she's been dropped back down to earth. It must of been a hell of a bump.

She should have walked it and I just think her manifesto was political suicide, there was nothing that appealed to a lot of voters,I do think the media are being overly harsh, she took a gamble and it failed, I was going to vote for her in the end i didn't vote because of the foxhunting issue, and I wasn't too keen on some of Corbyns proposals,so opted out, but him calling for her to resign annoyed me a bit as he was told by his own party to resign several times,he didn't he plodded on,so why shouldn't TM try and make the best of this. She won more votes than Blair did in a landslide majority
