Even so, her family and heritage are Nigerian, like I said yesterday I know alot of people who were born and raised in England to Irish parents who consider themselves to Irish rather than English, so what? I don't see why people are so offended by that

I was born and bred in ireland and proud of it. In fact some days ago I had numerous FB questions as to what I was eating, it was a pic of me in hospital eating a bowl full of Irish broth my aunty brought me in. Since then Ive sent the recipe round the world several times. All my cousins that were born in Northallerton from My dada brother are totally English and hate to be called Irish.

Anyway, the post was about whether or not she was nigerian and she isnt, she was born here. Being proud of your heritage is ok if thats the truth, but to use said facts as a vehicle to promote some weird cultural notion for personal means is pretty sad.

And that's perfectly fine too, I'm just saying, that some people identify more with their parents nationality even if they were born in a different country. I don't see the issue with it or why it should be a problem for anyone else

It isnt a problem unless said facts are used for financial or personal gain. Hannah and Debs are borderline pragmatic with their views that bounce in and out of the macabre with racist undertones.

You really think they're just pretending to be proud of their heritage to win BB and normally they're not? I disagree with that Sam.

That's true.I had a school friend who was born in England but when i went round his gaff he'd slip into a strong Irish accent when he spoke to his parents.I almost couldn't understand him sometimes it was so strong.

Yeah. This lad was born and raised in England and spoke in an English accent whenever he was at school or out and about. It was only when he was at home or with his parents that he went full blown Irish.Surprised me at first.

The accent thing I find so weird. I mean, your accent is your accent. You do not have 2 accents, so you have a natural one and then a fake one. I don't get why people would put on an accent Unless trying to imitate an accent, but then why, unless for joke reasons and such

Why wouldn't that be OK?

Don't see why you can't just embrace other cultures to be honest.

I for one wouldnt be comfortable with a 100% yorkshire lass passing herself off as one of my countrymen, what next colcannon with yorkshire puddings washed down with porter. NAH, it would never catch on

Why wouldn't it?

My husbands cousin was born in England his parents are both English but his grandparents are Irish and he considers himself Irish because of that, he's just got himself an Irish passport and supports the Irish teams etc and that's perfectly fine imo

If they are so proud of their heritage why do they not wear their hair in the afro they were born with ? why do they choose to hide the afro under a straight (cheap) wig ..They can't be THAT proud of their roots
