But she didn't 'take him down' at all

She just hung onto Chanelle's crew (knowing that they were already popular, plus Kieran didn't want anything to do with her so she practically had nowhere else to go) in hope that it would benefit her and it did ironically.
Chanelle did more 'violent' things than Lotan ever did but remained in the house. It's called favouritism.
I'm also not saying I agree with everything Lotan did/said, but Isabelle was far more nasty to him than vice versa.
