Out of interest, did he get you to go through and sign the health and safety manual? Did he show you and explain to you about COSHH? accident and incident recording? Food handling?

If not, he's breaking the law and needs reporting.

Another thing you can do is write a review. Bad reviews stick like fat to a kitchen ceiling.

Please learn about your rights, I'm sure this has been a learning curve and this will not happen to you again, but if anyone you know ( friends from this 'employer') need advice then you could help them not continue being exploited. Good luck with the new job, Patisserie Valerie..mmmmmmmm

Wow just read some of this thread, sounds like your boss was a ****. I don't know why some managers/supervisors think they can treat their staff like **** and have no respect.

He was clearly just using you as much as he could bc you were on minimum wage, it's good that you got out of there.
