Virgin Trains has "apologised unreservedly" for a tweet which some social media users described as "sexist".
In response to a passenger complaint about being referred to as "honey", the official Virgin Trains East Coast Twitter account asked if she would "prefer 'pet' or 'love' next time". Classy Virgin http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-42542640 |

I don't think it was sexist ('pet', 'love' I'd associate with men and women) but yeah it was very unprofessional if it was a response to a complaint, whether they thought the complaint was justified or not.

I see nothing wrong with friendly sayings like 'honey', 'love' or 'pet' it's actually quite nice imo
But then again I get called a bitch in work quite often so being called hun is a welcome change

someone with too much time on their hands, being called "honey" is hardly complaint worthy
complain about the 3.5% hike in fares if you want something to moan about |

It depends in the context “honey” was used.
How do we know if the advisor is male or female? |
