I am dreading the day my son decides he's to big for a cuddle. My mum wasn't very tactile, I never doubted she loved me but she never told me and certainly wasn't a hugger. If I ever asked her if she loved me she said "I'll think about it". Just the way she was and my dad was much the same. I think I sometimes over do the affection with my son to compensate so I hope he continues wanting cuddles for ever.
