I think there're better ways of going about it - if she was offended, she should have talked to Wagner in private. Going on about it like she did tonight was petty, was nasty and was a disastrous attempt at making him feel small.

Him saying "I didn't know it was a journalist" speaks volumes

You can't say its clarification either, I bet if it was the other way around and Cheryl called Wagner then denied it on the show you'd be slating Cheryl and calling her a vindictive liar.
