SOME NEWS!! FROM IBB

Before I start, I’m not an insider. I just have contacts.

May launch is happening, but I stress it isn’t 30th! 23rd . (Note Embarrassing Bodies and Facejacker both finish airing on 21st May).

The campaign is going to be the same as usual but with a new part of the campaign (think BB5/7), check Davina’s Twitter- a few hints on a pic there . Very nostalgic. The campaign is going to be short and snappy this time to gain instant hype instead of being drawn out and hype tailing off. First adverts will air in first week of May.

I think this is correct. Gacejacker is Six episodes and that means it finishes on May 21st, I think it's definatly starting that week- 22nd to 28th

Tuesdays- Heston’s Feast- 18th May
Wednesdays- Jamie Oliver Does …- 19th May
Thursdays- How The Other Half Live- 13th May/Charlie Brooker- 3rd June
Fridays- Embarrassing Bodies- 21st May/Facejacker- 14th May/Ricky Gervais- 9th July
Saturday- Films (n/a)
Sunday- The Restoration Man- 9th May

So it could launch on Thursday 20th May with highlights on Friday at 10pm. Then with Embarrassing Bodies gone the following Friday and Ricky Gervais on at 10.35pm, they might finally have one 90 minute long eviction show.

That sounds like a good idea; they’re getting a head start before the BGT live shows begin on 30th May. ??

Also... from the insider...

The reason for the much earlier launch is that June-September has never really worked, and there are very limited windows to launch in what with BGT and the World Cup. It will give it chance to bed in and have stable viewers before its knocked for six. Then hopefully it will recover.

Ikr and like last year it were 10 o'clock most nights but say Charlie Brooker's show's still on BB moves to 9pm, they did that last year alot. I'm getting really excited now. And I will watch BB instead of world cup and BGT!

Hopefully BGT will be on week 2 so BB will have one week to gain viewers, hopefully they'll be doing all they can to keep viewers. Isn't BGT on at 9pm though, cos what C4 have been doing every saturday is putting films immidietly after BGT, like Run Fatboy Run and last night's Borat. So they might use BGT to they're advantage and put BB on at 10pm every night so hopefully people will tune in straight after BGT!

[B]Well BB will start either before or straight after that, definatly not on that week. If they start after then that'd be good but I'd prefer they started a week earlier so they have a chance to prove themselves. But oh well as I said in an earlier post straight after BGT has been finishing C4 have done a film to catch viewers. I'm sure if the finals run until 10, I can't see them going any later than 10 so any BB fans can watch BGT finals and then watch BB straight after

On Monday & Friday the live shows will probably run 9-10.30pm, running 8.30pm-10pm on the other days.

That means that week Big Brother could go out at 8pm on Monday and Friday with 10pm the other days. And the eviction at 10.35pm on the Friday.

They'll still be up against the soaps but its better than being up against BGT. Its just something they'll have to deal with if they launch earlier.
