Agreed. If she goes thru then it proves the judges house stage is irrelevant and it proves Simon pick the final three and not Cheryl.

Let them!, last year was all about Danyl and Jedward anyway plus Cher will probably have the Diana Vickers effect.. Diana is doing well, despite the detractors wishing her to fail so is having the last laugh.

Diana is different. She is good singer. I wasnt a fan but gave her credit for at least having some vocal chops.

Cher She seems like the kind of singer who can sing hooks, and does have a kind of hip hop style, but definitely not a LEAD vocalist.

I can see it. I dont quite believe it but I wouldnt be surprised if she went thru. IF she does go thru it will the biggest injustice of the whole show and I hope people feel sorry for the other girls who put in good performance but were not the judges faves.

The problem is that rapping and hip hop is favoured these days over actual singing because most people have lost all sense of musical taste.

Agreed. the sort of stuff that charts highly these days is the worst kind of crap eg. tinchy stryder. Cher falls firmly into this category and that is unfortunately why she is popular.

I like Cher doing Rap etc, she could have stuck to the now tiresome cheesy pop route that XF normally want their acts to go down.. but has chosen not to and stuck to what she feels she is comfortable doing and not what others want her to do and I think good on her.

As much as I am not a fan of that kind of chart music, I can see that she isn't even up to that sort of level.. To me she's just a kid who's playing at being a "cool" artist. SHe's crap! Fact!

I've watched the X factor again this morning and while Cher dod good at the auditions, ruling out and making allowances for her throat problem, she did really badly at Cheryl's house, she didn't perform at all, not even after 2 attempts and then didn't try again.

No professional judge or mentor would take a risk on that happening at the 'live' shows, I think the throat problem was maybe overrated trying to get a bye through to the finals but really, the pressures of the time at Judges houses has I fear been too much for Cher and she simply is not up to the pressures of a show like this ,yet.

At the auditions, its a one off start, you can really go for it, after that largely you are in a big group of largely supportive other acts and hopefuls. Once at the Judges house the pressure begins.
I think Cheryl will oput her thorugh which is massively unfair to all the others who sang their hearts out but in the 'live' shows if she does this again she will be hammered by Louis and Simon and someone ready for it will have nissed out.

I liked the uniqueness of her first audition but since then she's been pretty poor. I really didnt like her version of Viva la Vida and her stupid "rap" lyrics that she wrote herself at the beggining. I've only just had a chance to see her peformance last night and she really doesnt deserve to get through imo. She probably has one of the worst voices out of the six of them and she isn't even that great a performer with the wierd facial expressions and dancing. She'll probably get through though, that was pretty much guranteed after her first audition no matter how badly she messed up since.

She's still young and finding her groove. Point is, she is trying to be creative and not just singing note for note covers like the rest. I dont mind karaoke but its nice to have a couple of less predictable contenders in the mix. And Im willing to sacrifice a better voice for it too.

I'd 100% agree with you if Cher had a voice that could hold a tune; but she can't even do that. She visibly fell apart in front of Cheryl and will.i.am and I'm fully expecting it to happen again on the live shows. That, compounded with the

rumours that both Cher and Katie got through, despite messing up - so essentially a display of histrionics is enough to get onto the live shows

has angered me!
