No matter that they act like senile 12-year-olds on the Today programme website - smoking illegal fags to look tough and cool. No matter that Amis coins truly abominable terms like 'the age of horrorism' and when criticised tells people to 'fuck off'. Surely we all chuckle at the strenuous ennui of his salon drawl. Sorry BUT is everyone defending GAMU!!!

Ed is correct. It is pathetic to think we should bend the rules just cause Simon Cowell says so.

She should go. Sorry fair and square.

What if she was going to get arrested for murder. I bet people would stop defending her then!!!!

If she was getting arrested for murder she'de be able to stay,there are lots of illegals living here who are breaking our laws,and killing our people,they need to sort those out first!!What a stupid country this is sometimes.

This kind of thing is always worse when you can put a human face to the law. It suddenly makes it 'real' but the rules are the rules and if she has to be deported then being on X Factor shouldn't matter. This kind of thing happens day in day out, Gamu shouldn't be treated any differently

What are we to expect on next years x factor (if it returns) every illegal immigrant on the eve of deportation applying just to get laws broken so that they can stay?
Yes she can sing, Yes it may be sad she can't necessarily stay and Yes there are other people in her situation getting away with it but rules are rules and we can't make exceptions for everybody. What about all the poor little Zimbabwean girls who CAN'T sing who are being sent home, are we at risk of being 'talentist' here?

You make a great point here - talentism.

Canada immigration is notorious for this. Oddly enough, when criticized for the thousands of dodgy, criminal and illegal immigrants getting in Canada the immigration people seem to use this as motivation to be even MORE talentist on legitimate immigrants.

Recently they were caught being talentist with family class immigrants and even spouses!
This is unacceptable and we can't have systems where one spouse is passed because they have a nice resume and some special skills yet the next one is held off for lack of unique talent.

But yeah, I mean Gamu is great but here again - then she needs to join singing contests in her own country.

Once again I hope everyone sees this but there are LEGITIMATE IMMIGRANTS who may very well have amazing singing voices and like to apply to X-Factor and they are DELAYED and put to the side because Gamu's ILLEGAL family is taking up that space, time, money, resources.

Once again - Illegals HURT LEGITIMATE IMMIGRANTS.

If you are 'for immigrants' then realize these people HURT the honest immigrants.
